This Refund & Returns Policy (“Policy”) governs refunds, cancellations, and disputes for transactions conducted through the GarajApp platform (“GarajApp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the GarajApp website or services, you agree to be bound by this Policy in addition to GarajApp’s Terms of Service.
1. Platform Role and Scope
GarajApp operates as an online marketplace facilitating bookings between individuals or entities offering space rentals (“Hosts”) and individuals or entities booking such spaces (“Renters”). GarajApp is not the owner, operator, or provider of any listed space and does not directly provide rental services.
This Policy applies only to transactions completed through the GarajApp platform.
2. No Physical Goods; No Returns
GarajApp does not sell or ship physical goods. All transactions relate to temporary access to space or services. Accordingly, returns are not applicable under this Policy.
3. Renter Cancellations
Refund eligibility for renter-initiated cancellations depends on the timing of the cancellation and the cancellation terms specified in the applicable listing at the time of booking.
3.1 Cancellation Prior to Booking Start
- If a renter cancels within the cancellation window stated in the listing, the renter may be eligible for a full refund, less any non-refundable service fees or payment processing fees disclosed at checkout.
- Cancellations made outside the stated cancellation window may be eligible for a partial refund or no refund, as determined by the Host’s listing terms.
3.2 Same-Day Cancellations and No-Shows
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or approved through GarajApp’s dispute resolution process, same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
4. Host Cancellations
If a Host cancels a confirmed booking:
- The renter will receive a full refund, including platform service fees.
- GarajApp reserves the right to impose penalties on Hosts who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings, including but not limited to account suspension or removal.
5. Early Termination by Renter
If a renter voluntarily ends a booking prior to the scheduled end date or time:
- Refunds for unused time are not guaranteed.
- Any refund issued is subject to the Host’s discretion unless the early termination results from a verified material issue as described in Section 6.
6. Booking Issues and Dispute Resolution
6.1 Eligible Issues
A renter may request a refund or adjustment if the rental space is materially misrepresented, inaccessible, unsafe, or otherwise unusable in a manner that substantially impairs the intended use.
6.2 Dispute Submission
- Disputes must be submitted through the GarajApp platform within 24 hours of the issue occurring.
- Renters may be required to provide supporting documentation, including photographs, communications, or other evidence.
6.3 Resolution Authority
GarajApp reserves the right to:
- Resolve disputes using automated rules or manual review;
- Issue partial or full refunds at its sole discretion; or
- Deny refund requests where insufficient evidence or policy violations exist.
GarajApp’s dispute determinations are final unless otherwise required by law.
7. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
- Processing times may vary depending on the payment method, financial institution, or payment processor.
- GarajApp is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.
8. Fees and Non-Refundable Charges
Unless otherwise stated:
- Platform service fees, payment processing fees, and third-party charges may be non-refundable.
- All applicable fees and refund limitations are disclosed prior to payment confirmation.
9. Fraud, Abuse, and Policy Violations
GarajApp reserves the right to deny refunds or reverse credits if it determines, in its sole discretion, that a user has engaged in:
- Fraudulent activity;
- Abuse of the refund or dispute process; or
- Violations of GarajApp’s Terms of Service or other policies.
10. Policy Modifications
GarajApp may update or modify this Policy at any time. Changes become effective upon posting on the GarajApp website. Continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
